Vale clay is cheaper to use?
I love love love Dollhouse miniature accessories! and I really liked making my own doll house food and objects. I've been to hundreds of websites to find tutorials on how to make certain foods and to learn what materials you need. At first I thought I could buy any old white clay and paint just the issue once it has been hard. But according to these sites, that's not the case. They suggest that whatever that the use of a special clay called: Polymer Clay. So I went to buy online, but found in most Web sites of clay costs 10 € - 12 a block. To me that is very expensive. I looked at my local craft stores and the price was substantially the same or more. Can I use any cheap and gay clay, or is a polymer clay should!? Can you suggest specific brands and where can I get one? Thanks xx
You can use all types of clays to make foods dolls and original articles. Dollhouse People will use polymer clay (clay, which must be heated - at low temperature, time, the furnace of the parents - to harden) because they are so versatile and strong, not to be stained or sealed, and are capable of many special effects and reasons for and looks fake (stone, metal, wood, ceramics, terracotta, ivory, jade, for example) Although I realize some miniatures in fact use the full potential of polymer. polymer clay based oil never has "dry" if omitted, and can capture many details ... are actually plastic, but not necessarily think that, once healed. They can be painted in no ( "enamel" paint though), if desired, or can be colored while the oil (usually using white or translucent clay, and generally paint artists oil or acrylic paints small pieces or many other things), or may be purchased before color - and one of all the colors of polymer clay can be mixed with thousands of new colors. Many of the sculptures can all be done with either air dry clay and polymer clay, with many of these - of varying quality. Air-dry clays are water based so it must lose its water ( "dry") to tighten (and reduce a bit), which usually takes up to 24 hours in the air (heating a little, or highlighting a fan may speed drying, but these clays do not * need * to be cured by heat to harden). Air-dry clay can be painted about as well (usually in acrylic that also sealed), or dyes can be mixed with oil in advance. Be closed down after drying to keep Softening moisture again and sometimes to keep bugs away if the flour, etc. were used. In terms of prices and brands, polymer clay can be purchased in different brands and lines (in stores and online). Prices vary depending on the brand, size, and where they buy (even online). amount you mentioned is almost certainly a "brick" which is usually a pound/16 ounces (half kilo) of clay, and more often if the polymer clay is sold in small blocks of approx. 2 oz (especially in retail). One pound will go a long looong clay in miniature. Miniaturist Many who use polymer clay probably buy at least 5 basic colors, then mix all the new colors they want. A base of 5, which would create a wide range of colors would be red, blue, yellow, long, black and white (some might add a translucent or metallic gold or pearl the more effects) that the different brands and lines of case also because they were handling characteristics and different strengths. The polymer clay is cheaper original white Sculpey (which comes in 2 pounds or more boxes ... This is the lowest for polymer clay after baking in any thin or project areas ... This is generally lower among ministries, but since they are generally compact and difficult to emphasize one party against another. Original Sculpey is the sweetest of all polymer clays when raw (and more gentle when working with her), so it is not as sharp detail than others. The 2-SuperSculpey called Sculpey III and Sculpey flesh (many colors) are stronger than Original Sculpey, but not as strong as FimoSoft, and certainly not as stronger than the Premo, Kato Polyclay, Cernit FimoClassic and clays.
